What a huge month of “wins” it has been!
While the Patriots are heating up and the Red Sox are leading their league series, Stones Hospitality Group is racking up wins as well. Two weeks ago, The Masonic Lodge held a big ceremony next door, with over 100 guests, and our team killed it. Then, the Kinetic Sculpture Race brought hundreds of folks downtown and we were honored to be the official after party headquarters. Grilling for hordes of folks is our (other) specialty with 25 years of Folk Festival and Winterfest as practice.
Monday night, we hosted our 4th Dining in the Dark to a sold out crowd of 113 at moonstones to help raise money for the Lowell Association for the Blind—and last night, an entire COBBLESTONES team effort as we threw the A+ team at Lowell Five’s annual customer appreciation function, where 150 guests enjoyed carved tenderloin, BIG ass shrimp cocktail, sautéed pasta station and beautiful passed lamb chops and beet raviolis, through an assist from moonstones uber chef Adam Hervieux! Robin, Ken, Chef and Chef, and veterans Tara, Kasey and Myrka led a crew of amazing staff through (4) hours of near perfection! (Sorry Rick–shamefully, we forgot the Hammer and Sickle!!!)
But maybe our proudest moment of all—moonstones original day sous chef, Sally Thayer, who we “loaned” to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell*, celebrated her 6th anniversary there yesterday as head chef –having served over 300,000 hot, nutritious meals to the Club members, in our ongoing effort to end generational poverty. Sally—our loss was the world’s gain—and we couldn’t be more proud of you!
* The Boys and Girls Club Holiday Auction is fast approaching! Join us for an incredible night of celebration, camaraderie, community and feel good!
